Championship Tournament Series
Each Promotion has their "champions".  Although a State or National Title is the
ultimate goal, and in the past, unless you have "known" someone, a title shot of
that magnitude was, at best, hard to get.  Combat Sports Commission has
developed a program to better suit the amateur ranks of Mixed Martial Arts and
are bringing the title shots to you, on a level playing field.  There is a catch, you
must possess a current promotional title in order to compete.  Be sure to read the
rules regarding the ability to compete for a title.  The fight lengths are different, as
well as the ability to compete at a state or higher level requires a certain level of
experience.  At last, you can get a shot at the state title too.

The series actually begins with the beginning of Combat Sports Commission.
Since we are not going to put on our "own" shows, we will bring the titles to the
promotion companies that we sanction.  Each promotion company will agree to
put their champions in there against the best from other promotions.  The catch,
it will be at a regularly scheduled event.  Thats right, a fight card that is packed
with championship fights.

There are 9 weight classes......depending on how many promotion companies are
in our program, also depends on how many preliminary fights there are.  So,
theoretically, we have 9 promotion companies and each have a champion in each
weight class.

Each promotion will have one weight class to host.

Say the Lightweights are hosted in Kansas City.......All lightweight champions will
meet in KC and will be seeded by a blind draw for the first event.....that means
someone has a bye in the first round.  After the first event, four places are
knocked out of the tournament.  At the second event, a blind draw will be made
for one of the eliminated fighters to get a "second chance" to compete against the
fighter that received the bye in the first round of fights.    The other advancing
fighters are seeded by blind draw once again.  After the second event, the pool is
down to three fighters.  At the third event, a blind draw will be made to seed the
two fighters for the semi-finals.  The third receives a bid to the championship.
The fourth event, crowns a champion!  As you can see, once you are in the
chase for the title, your time is dedicated to fighting championship caliber fights
and will be more likely to advance your skills to the level of a true champion.

The events will be no closer together than 45 days and announcements of the
match ups will be made no later than 30 days prior to the fight to allow for proper
training.  All announcements and other details are only authorized by the CSC
office.

MORE DETAILS AND REGULATIONS WILL BE COMING SOON.  WE ARE
CURRENTLY WORKING ON THIS DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM.

THE DESIGN IS INTENDED TO GIVE THE TOP FIGHTERS A CHANCE TO
COMPETE AGAINST THE OTHER TOP FIGHTERS IN THEIR WEIGHT
