**This was an ALL Amateur Event
The Absolute Fighting Challenge pulled it out again with another sold out show in Poplar Bluff, MO. at Scooters II Night Club, with a Fight Card some very good new
Amateurs and another that was looking to get into the Guinness Book of World Records as "The Oldest MMA Fighter".
Promoter, Don Davis Jr., was not only on edge about having a good show, but also the fact that he had his Father, Don Davis Sr., on this card also. He stated that he was
confident about his Dad's skills going into the Fight and that no matter what, they were going to be happy to finally get him the chance to get in there and compete.
More than 700 People were on hand for the Event and all of the fights had some good action in them.
The AFC would like to thank all of those that showed their support and would like to send a very special Thank You out to Justin Moyers of Poplar Bluff, MO. for taking the
fight that noone else wanted to take. He was true to to his game as he went on to defest Davis Sr. early in the first round by TKO.
Some other notable match ups for the evening were the Caldwell/Smith and Hill/Castro Championship Fights. Matt Gephart showed his power again by defeating a Strong
Dan Mann from the St. Louis Area, this was also Mann's Debut as an MMA Fighter. The McCutchen Brothers showed why they are going to be feared by fighters in their
weight class down the road.
Probably the fight of the night would have to go to the Dale/Andrews Fight, these two guys beat the hell out of each other in a 3 round war that had the crowd going crazy
by the end of the first round. This was a rematch for these two Fighters and with Daniels winning, set up an awesome up and coming Rubber Match between these two
great fighters.
The next AFC Event will be at Scooters II Night Club on March 20. 2010.
